Farmers, food businesses, agronomists, and supply chain partners share information through YAGRO systems to improve decisions, reporting, and collaboration. That only works if everyone knows exactly how their data is handled.
Our role is simple: we build the technology that organises, validates, and delivers insight from agricultural data.
We do not take ownership of that data.
Farmers Own Their Farm Data
When farmers connect their farm systems or upload information directly to YAGRO platforms, that data remains the farmer’s property.
We use the data only to provide the services the farmer has chosen to use. This might include:
performance analysis
benchmarking and insights
planning and budgeting tools
sustainability or emissions reporting
Farmers remain in control of how their data is shared and who can access it. This is why we are certified as Farm Data Safe by Farm Data Principles.
Supply Chain Data Remains Separate
Many of our systems are used by food businesses, processors, banks, and agricultural supply chains working with groups of growers.
When we work with these partners:
each organisation’s dataset is kept separate and secure
data from one partner is never shared with another
YAGRO does not combine or reuse datasets across different customers
We provide the infrastructure, validation and analysis tools.
Our customers control how their own programmes and grower relationships operate.

Transparency Matters
If you are using a YAGRO system through a supply chain programme, the organisation running that programme will define how data is collected and used within that initiative.
YAGRO provides the technology behind the system, but we believe everyone should understand how their data is used and why it is being collected. We build in permissioning elements to allow you to control access.
